Up, up and away, in a beautiful balloon!

Have you ever had a daydream about a hot-air balloon ride?

Mine are countless. A hot-air balloon ride is at the top of my “must experience” list, and has been for years.

Of course, the balloon ride in my daydream takes place in Paris at sunset on the most spectacular day of the year.

This weekend will be the perfect time to get a taste of that experience, and you won’t need to leave home to do it.

Henderson Tri-Fest

Henderson Tri-Fest begins Friday, April 16^th at Red Banks Park on Water Street and will continue thru Sunday afternoon. Entertainment will be provided by local musicians. Many non-profit organizations will have food booths for fund-raising. Carnival games and rides will lend to the atmosphere as people celebrate their community.

The 20^th Annual Habitat for Humanity 5k Classic Run/Walk and Elvis competition are only a couple of activities that are scheduled fro Saturday.

Skycab Balloons from Louisville,Ky will be on hand with 5 of their hot-air balloons. Tethered rides will be given on Friday between 5:30p.m. – 7:20 p.m., followed by a balloon glow at 7:21 p.m. Saturday morning at sunrise the balloons will launch for their return trip home to Louisville, Ky.

Let you imagination soar as you rise up to one hundred feet and float effortlessly in the large wicker basket with a bird’s eye view of those enjoying the festivities and food booths with friends and family.

Pryor named Colonels’ new soccer coach
