LYNNVILLE, IN - The town of Lynnville is being asked to boil any water planned for drinking or cooking with. Town officials told NEWS 25 a line being replaced in Patoka is the cause for the advisory.

The Economy Dominates State of the City Address

EVANSVILLE - Despite tough economic times, Evansville Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel says the city is doing well.  The mayor said Whirlpool's closing will have ripple effects throughout the community, but several other businesses and construction projects are bringing new jobs to the city.

Proposed Budget Clears KY House Panel

ISP: Be Cautious Dealing with Solicitors

INDIANAPOLIS - ISP said they have been receiving complaints from residents and businesses statewide about solicitors who say they are working with the Indiana State Police or other police agencies.  They gave us several tips on how to deal with solicitors in-person or over the phone.

Watson Lane Widening Project Begins

HENDERSON, KY - Work began Monday on a project that will widen Watson Lane west of US 41.  Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd said each lane of Watson will be restricted to a 9 foot maximum from US 41 to Elm Street while work is going on.  The project is expected to be completed by June.

HPD: Man Stole Car, Fled from Traffic Stop in Evansville

HENDERSON, KY - The Henderson Police Department said Cory Richmond, 30, was arrested around 12:30 a.m. Monday.  HPD alleged Richmond stole a car in Henderson and fled from EPD during a traffic stop.

Owensboro Hit-&-Run Sends 13-year-old Girl to Louisville ER

OWENSBORO - A 13-year-old Owensboro girl was airlifted to a Louisville Hospital Saturday night after Sheriffs say a driver hit her and fled the scene. Sheriff's say Madeline S. Matlock and two other juveniles were walking along the 5700 block of Old KY 54 in Daviess County, Ky. when the driver crossed the center line and struck the girl. Hospital officials say Madeline remains in critical condition.

Officer Kills Gunman outside Walmart in East Texas

COMMERCE, TX - Authorities say a gunman has been killed and an off-duty officer injured in a shootout outside a Walmart store in the east Texas city of Commerce. Commerce spokeswoman Marty Cunningham says police received a call Sunday about shots being fired from a car in nearby Greenville, about 50 miles northeast of Dallas.
